Nadine Shah is a British singer/songwriter/musican.
And a very talented one.
She has recently released her third album, “Holiday Destination”, which to me is her best and yet more accessible to date.
Nadine has a great, haunting voice that’s reminiscent of her Pakistani origins and writes songs about very serious issues (mental health, for example).
While her songs are slightly dark, they’re not gloomy or heavy.
The songwriting is very balanced, with influences ranging from David Bowie to funk, to classic british songwriting – the whole mix is at the same time original, fresh, dark and… light.
